Kids Code Madison Collaborative is working to create free drop-in, volunteer-supervised computer coding clubs for Madison youth, modeling after the Coder Dojo model and philosophy. (And we’re an official dojo!)
We draw together volunteers and youth who want to learn code in the Scratch computer language. You can join us, even if you don’t know how to code! Scratch is very friendly and usable by anyone who’s willing to learn.
We are small now, but hope to grow into more clubs, reaching more students and more mentors and volunteers.
If Madison is to become a tech epicenter, we need to train the programmers of tomorrow, starting today.
